On September 10, 2022, the large symphony orchestra will once again be a guest at the Konz Music Festival with the chamber version of Gustav Mahler's 7th Symphony in the Church of St. Johann. At the podium is chief conductor Michael Francis, who is known as a master of timbres and an expert on Mahler.

The architecturally remarkable Cantzheim winery is filled with summer vigor with Tatjana Ruhland, solo flutist of the SWR Symphony Orchestra, celebrated worldwide as the 'Paganini of the flute', and her duo partner Ronith Mues, solo harpist of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. The two exceptional artists have put together a dazzling program and spoil the guests with a veritable 'menu for the ears'. An evening full of intoxicating symphonic music with the Saarland State Youth Orchestra - great orchestral literature interpreted by the best young talents of Saarland. Led by Vilmantas Kaliunas at the podium, the young wild ones will present masterpieces from the golden era of romantic music. The soloist will be Grammy nominee Joseph Moog on the piano, who acts in a dual role as founding member and artistic director of the Konz Music Festival. The performance of a symphony orchestra in a tennis hall will be a premiere, as never before has such a venue been played in Germany.

The crowning finale of the Konz Music Festival 2022 will take place at the incomparable Van Volxem winery in Wiltingen. In the modern wine cellar, winemaker and owner Roman Niewodniczanski invites you to an evening with cult potential - Grammy winner and jazz trumpeter Gast Waltzing and his award-winning trio bring jazz sounds of the finest quality and plenty of globetrotter aura. The program includes compositions from the entire history of jazz as well as original compositions by Gast Waltzing and David Laborier. Guests can also expect a flying dinner by Jörg Linden and a selection of four glasses of selected wines from Van Volxem. Let the festival summer end in a relaxed and highly inspired manner.
